Late 19th Century Long Black Lacquered Sideboard from Shanxi, China

A late 19th century long black lacquered sideboard with gold painting from Shanxi province, China. An extremely unusual and handsome piece with beautiful patina, finished with clear matte lacquer. The inside of the cabinet is very interesting with many different inner compartments, some of the shelves have been replaced as the original ones are broken. Original iron handles on the outside, and brass handles on the inside drawers. Four of the doors have paintings of four different flowers depicting the Four Seasons, while two doors have painting of curios and "He-He Er Xian", which are the two immortals of harmony and union, on display stands. The tabletop is slightly worn which is consistent with the age of this sideboard.
