The Great Wave
The undulating Fabrix acoustic panel system by AntiCAD is modelled on The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai. Fabrix is designed for use on walls and ceilings in industrial and commercial spaces, and uses a mix of convex and concave panels that resemble rolling waves to help reduce echo. The system is composed of modular wooden struts that are mounted to a wall or ceiling to form a rippled surface. These frames are created using parametric design software and lined with Fabrix™ tracks, across which the acoustic fabric is then stretched to emulate the undulating tidal surface of ocean waves.
